Overview & Highlights

Prepare for a four day journey through the heart of Canyonlands National Park, designed to help you unplug, slow down, and reconnect with yourself and nature while building a new community of like-minded people. This is not a typical river trip. It is a true digital detox and a break from the constant noise of everyday life.

Guided by Zak Hazlett (@the_outdoor_therapist) and an experienced river team, this retreat creates space to step away from stress and return to what matters. Through intentional conversations and shared experiences, you will gain clarity, build a deeper relationship with yourself, and leave with a renewed sense of authenticity and a growth mindset that lasts long after the trip ends.

The journey begins with two days of calm water and expansive canyon views as we float 49 miles through Canyonlands to the Confluence of the Colorado and Green Rivers. Along the way, we will hike and explore ancient Ancestral Puebloan petroglyphs, guided by our team. This portion of the trip is about slowing down, connecting, laughing, and being fully present together.

On day three, we enter Cataract Canyon and take on some of the most legendary whitewater in North America. This is an exhilarating and powerful experience that invites you to lean into challenge and trust. If rapids make you nervous, that is okay. Growth often lives on the edge of our comfort zone, and we will face it together.

On the final day, we glide across the calm waters of Lake Powell to our takeout at Hite Marina. From here, you choose how your journey ends. Transportation back to Moab by van is included in the trip price. You may also choose a scenic flight back over Canyonlands for an additional $300, or have your vehicle shuttled to the takeout point for $250 per vehicle so you can continue exploring the area on your own.

Trip Itinerary:

Days 1 and 2

We will float 49 miles of calm water through Canyonlands to the Confluence of the Colorado and Green Rivers. Expect big views, quiet moments, guided hikes, and time to explore ancient petroglyphs with our team.

Day 3
The rapids. We navigate the whitewater that made Cataract Canyon famous. This is about facing fears, laughing, and doing hard things together.

Day 4
We journey across Lake Powell to Hite Marina. Depending on your selected transportation option, you will return to Moab or find your vehicle waiting at the takeout, allowing you to continue your travels at your own pace. Additional details are available on the FAQ page.
