Overview & Highlights

Prepare for a four-day journey deep into Canyonlands National Park—built for men who want to disconnect from noise, strip things back, and spend real time in wild places with other solid humans. This isn’t a luxury retreat or a sightseeing float. It’s a true reset. No distractions. No constant input. Just river, canyon walls, good food, and honest conversations.

Led by Zak Hazlett (@the_outdoor_therapist) and a seasoned river crew, this trip creates space to step away from stress, expectations, and the pace of everyday life. Around the fire and on the water, we’ll talk about what actually matters—work, relationships, purpose, pressure, and the stuff men don’t always slow down long enough to look at. You’ll leave clearer, more grounded, and more connected to yourself than when you arrived.

The first two days are spent floating 49 miles of calm water through the heart of Canyonlands to the Confluence of the Colorado and Green Rivers. Big canyon walls. Long stretches of quiet. Time to hike, explore ancient Ancestral Puebloan petroglyphs, laugh, and just be present. This part of the trip is about slowing down and reconnecting—without forcing anything.

On day three, we enter Cataract Canyon and take on some of the most legendary whitewater in North America. This is where the river demands your attention. Big water. Real consequence. Trust in your guides and the men beside you. Nerves are normal. Challenge is part of the point. Doing hard things together builds something you don’t get from comfort.

The final day is a steady glide across Lake Powell to Hite Marina—a chance to reflect, decompress, and carry the experience forward. Transportation back to Moab by van is included. You can also choose a scenic flight back over Canyonlands for an additional $300, or have your vehicle shuttled to the takeout for $250 per vehicle if you want to keep traveling on your own.
